Nitehawk Cinema
The Nitehawk Cinema now has a rotating art exhibit to celebrate local artists that’s called, Art at Nitehawk. This historic theatre sets a captivating stage for artists to present their work to the Brooklyn community and for the neighborhood to gather and have a good time. As Nitehawk Cinema develops more ways to celebrate artists in Brooklyn, it presents a great opportunity for local artists to present themselves.
The show is open from March 12 – April 16 at Nitehawk Cinema 136 Metropolitan Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11249 and free for all guests!

Affordable Art Fair NYC
Stay tuned with Nitehawk, next they will be hosting an art show by members of Good Neighbors of Park Slope, an “aging- in-place organization with the goal of enriching the lives of everyone over 50 living in the neighborhood”.
Affordable Art Fair NYC has a friendly environment with thousands of contemporary paintings, sculptures, photographs, and prints presented by over 70 local, national, and international galleries. There is also artwork on display by 400 established artists and rising stars with prices ranging from $100 -$10,000. This event will suit the test of seasoned collectors and first-time buyers. There are two fair editions held annually and it makes the perfect day out for friends and family.
The exhibit will begin on March 27, 6 PM – March 31, 5 PM at the Metropolitan Pavilion, 125 West 18th Street, New York, NY 10011 with tickets ranging from $18 – $70.
BRIC Biennial: Volume III, South Brooklyn Edition” Exhibition
In contrast to the reality of the current state of affairs Americans face today, the artists at BRIC Biennial: Volume III, South Brooklyn Edition” Exhibition share their perspectives of an alternate world. At the exhibit, artists will suggest utopian and dystopian ways of life with their creations of fantastical creatures and peculiar environments. Other artists curate unique materials to work on to push against the norms and boundaries of painting and sculpture.
The exhibit is from February 7 to April 7, 10 AM – 8 PM at 647 Fulton St., Brooklyn, NY 11217 and is totally free for guests.
Some artists featured include:
Eleanna Anagnos, Laura Bernstein, Phoenix Lindsey-Hall, Las Hermanas Iglesias (Lisa and Janelle Iglesias), Yi Xin Tong, Frank Wang Yefeng, Dale Williams, and Quay Quinn Wolf.

Slag Gallery “Between Objects & Actions”
Inspired by curiosity in ritualized behavior, William Buchina’s new paintings “Between Objects & Actions” deconstructs social norms and conventions with a collage-like technique that gives the work dramatic layers. With this display, each viewer will take their unique course to understand the work as each painting stirs the imagination.
The display will be held March 15 – April 14 at Slag Gallery, 56 Bogart Street, Brooklyn, NY 11206 and is free for all guest.

Gowanus Canal “screen | surface”
At the Gowanus Canal is screen | surface, an exhibit held by Stuart J. Gibson + John Richey with a collection of process-driven fine art prints. This collection of process-driven fine art prints take as their impetus a set of unique artistic engagements with ‘the everyday’ as each artist teases out a creative conversation about facade, artifice, light, and illusions to the natural world.
The event will be held on Sunday, March 2 from 1 PM to 5 PM

Threstle
Threstle has several exhibit opportunities for local artists in the Brooklyn area. For a small bite size series no larger than 12”, they have Small Works. The enrollment to their exhibit Introductions 2020 only requires you to have never presented at Threstle before. These opportunities are time sensitive, so learn more on how to get started here.
